The nuns in these films are not like the nice little nuns that educated me. They are frequently lascivious, prone to baring their breasts, often in league with Satan or standing up for women’s rights.
Nuns make for great exploitation fodder. We don’t know what happens behind the abbey doors so we can posit all sorts of wild imaginings. The sexy nun is both kinky and profane, a forbidden delight and exploitation filmmakers usually imagine them as sex-crazed deviants who actively enjoy breaking their betrothal to God.
You will find a wide range of nuns in this list – killers, psychos, pioneers, perverts to tickle your fancy. Now, don’t forget your Hail Marys for looking at this sinful list.
10. Sacred Flesh (2000)
A Mother Superior has conversations about sex with various imaginary people because she is daft in the head. The Abbess of the convent is sufficiently worried enough...

Pick Of The Week:
Savage Streets (DVD)
Brenda’s got a switchblade and she knows how to use it… See Linda Blair (The Exorcist) take bloody revenge on a gang of low down dirty street punks in Savage Streets, a brutal journey into rape, violence, switchblades and bear traps. When Brenda (Blair) and her all-girl gang of tough talking chicks, The Satins, refuse to party with a car full of local drug pushers called The Scars, the girls think nothing of it, but they didn’t reckon on the bruised ego of Jake and his feral pack of no good thugs. Targeting Brenda’s deaf sister, they invade the school and savage her, leaving her on the critical list. Now Brenda must scour the streets in...

Founded in 1993 by Nigel Wingrove, the label boasts a vast array of some of the best Euro cult horror titles around, and will return with eye-catching packaging that goes back to its original style, with the same striking bespoke imagery that made the label such a fan favourite back in the 90s.
Leading the way in April is the highly crafted and unspeakably violent Argentinean psychological thriller Breaking Nikki, followed by the truly disturbing and perverse horror The Owner in May and I’ll Never Die Alone the harrowing, brutal Argentinian rape-revenge movie in June.

8.00pm Ba’al: The Storm God (Movies24+)
An archaeologist seeking the ancient amulets of the storm god Ba’al which he thinks could cure his cancer unwittingly unleashes epic otherworldly storms on the Earth.
9.00pm Thralls, aka Blood Angels (Zone Horror)
Thralls focuses on a group of 6 beautiful women (the titular Thralls), referred to as “the white trash of vampires;” effectively a lower species of vampire. They don’t kill people, they don’t have the ability to turn their victims into vampires and they can’t fly. These Thralls are under the control of Mr. Jones, the vampire who sired them, and whom they are trying desperately to escape. To do this they must complete a blood ritual which will turn them into full-blown vampires.
