So, I love Oggy, but only the first 2 seasons. After that, the composing, the animation and everything else got so much worse. The first 2 seasons had the best composing I have ever heard, great animation and cool plot lines. Nowadays, the creators remake the old episodes with the new Adobe Animate animation and the new composing. Watch the first 2 seasons, please.

It recently struck me how similar this show is to the Tom and Jerry cartoons from back in the day.
I still like and enjoy it frequently, it was a great pass-time when I spent evenings with my family when I was a kid. Today it sometimes feels like I'm watching a Warner Bros. knock-off, but it is still colourful and charming.
If you like Tom & Jerry slapstick comedy, you should find this entertaining too.

I have saw this show on cartoon network in india whenever I have visited my relatives. I actully thought this was going to be stupid and even looked like a tom and jerry ripoff from first sight but it was actually pretty funny.
Most of the episodes are about Oggy trying something then later getting ruined by the three cockroaches. Occasionally we see his brother and sometimes that fat angry dog known as Bob.
My only complaint even though the show is good it does have bad episodes and Cartoon Network air it non stop so therefore I do believe it should still air but not 24/7.

It has been a long time since a cartoon of this merit has been seen. Clearly the influences are such animation greats as Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Hannah Barbera, and ironically Jerry Lewis. Oggy and the Cockroaches has some brilliant scores in it. I love how they do not say a word in the cartoon but rather use music to make all their expressions. Musically the show is amazing. The show also incorporates a good use of computer animation. Another added bonus is how the cockroaches are named after 3 Ramon's members (Joey, Dee Dee, Marky) I do not know if this is a coincidence or not but it is still amusing. Overall a great cartoon that s not afraid to BE A CARTOON!

I must strongly disagree with person who says that this cartoon is stupid. Of course, jokes seem to be like Warner Bros' jokes, but they really aren't, Oggy's jokes far more cynical and full of irony. Also unrealistic situations that happen so often are just a plus to the whole. Surrealistic environment of this cartoon offer a completely new perception of world show that the world is not what we see but what we want to see.
"Oggy and the Cockroaches" can't be compared to no cartoon I've ever seen, and that makes it so good and original. It must not be seen as common entertainment, but as a unique and deep look at the world.
This cartoon is perfect in every way.

This show is simply amazing.Real fun every time I see this blue cat get his butt kicked by these nasty cockroaches.Surely a rip off of good all warner bros cartoons but a freaking nice rip off!! The plot is as simple as that.You can see the daily adventures of Oggy,the blue cat who loves comfort and most of all his house.He lives with his supposed cousin jack, a green cat.There's also a nasty dog as neighbour and of course those 3 insects.
Graphically,the show is really nice to watch,with fresh and eye catching colors coupled with some nice CGI images.Fast paced and hilarious,the show lacks dialogues but compensate with funny sounds and most of all of a ground breaking intro.If you want to relax and have a good time,just watch this show where the cat is not always the looser!!!

Today, when jap and other fighting cartoons took down the standard (that's level was originally set up by legendary classics) under the cellar this one gives hope and good amusement even over kid age. Yes, Oggy and the cockroaches is actionful as well, but a good and up-to-date remake of the traditional cat-mouse chase. Its visual ideas and sound effects affect absurd and may grotesque, but they run on the old tracks of Tommy and Jerry or such other cult. Incredible gags and burlesque-situations make this cartoon classic of its age. The Oggy series are maybe disliked by lot of cartoon viewers, and disinterested for kids. This is simply to explain: this cartoon needs lot of so-called previous studies. The viewer shall grown up on Tommy and Jerry and old chase-cartoons, and so feels Oggy a modern answer on them. A nice parallelism: you wont understand or enjoy the modern arts without knowing the classics. Knowing them gives a basement to build on and enjoy the new ideas and the absurd covers of old patterns. It is maybe paradox, but the viewer of this simple-like show must have erudition in patterns of traditional cartoons and films. Without these the viewer wont understand the incredible ideas, the grotesque art of the situations.

This show cracked me up as a kid. If you didn't know, Oggy and the Cockroaches is basically a French version of Tom and Jerry, and there's three roaches instead of a mouse. This show cracks me up because of the intro. It consists of nothing but cats meowing and some guy saying Zee Zee Zee over and over again, and a balloon deflating at the beginning of it. What?? XD This intro still cracks me up to this day. This show does have a few gross out jokes. If you hate gross out humor, just maybe watch something else thats not gross. I'll give this show a 6/10

I think this cartoon is the best in its genre after the Golden Age of American Animation. I have a satellite TV, and i have seen it many times on many channels - such as Gulli (French), Super RTL Channel (German), and one African channel (!). My favorite episode is "Perpetual motion", where Jack repaired the broken TV remote controller, Joey poured an oil into the wires, and the remote controller became something like the machine of time. Anyway, it's one of the best cartoon i'd ever seen. If you feel miserable on old cartoons, you just must see it. P.S. Sorry if my English is bad. P.P.S. I didn't say that this cartoon is similar to Tom&Jerry or Road Runner etc. - it's just original and hilarious.

It's fun enough, decent, but it's just like Tom and Jerry, except that there are cockroaches in this one.
Here the cats just want to be left alone for the most part. Usually they don't stir trouble or go out of their way to chase or torture the cockroaches.
There are more characters here, but the overall plots here are pretty similar to the ones in Tom and Jerry, or at very least come down to the same thing - chaotic chase through the house. Just for different reasons.
It's a cool show but far from original or anything special.

I have heard a lot about this show but never saw.One day I was just swapping the channels and I watched it,thanks to channel nickelodeon India.Now me,my family and also my friends are regular viewer of this show.The concept of show is similar to Tom and Jerry but it is having more laughter and of course a lot of surprise.
But the main reason the show captured the mass was dubbing,yes this show is being aired as dubbed version in India Germany and UK. In Indian version the mimicry of famous Bollywood star voice like Shahrukh Khan,Sunny Deol,Amreesh Puri,Sunil Shetty,Akshay Kumar,Paresh Rawal,Gulshan Grower and many more is used. So all the laughter is doubled after Complete Audio-Visual experience as the dialogs are superb and so are the renames like Joey is Lambu(tall),Dee Dee is Mote (fat and hungry),Marky is chote (small) and Jack is Fauji (soldier). After watching one season in dubbed version, I bought the DVD and watched the rest.Even without voice my experience was unaffected and the laughter was never reduced. This is a must watch show for everyone of any age.I love it more then once I loved Tom and Jerry in my childhood.

When I started watching, it was entertaining, but gets worse the more episodes I watch, 1/3 of the episodes are just the same gags over a over that aren't funny, 1/3 of the episodes have maybe a couple actually funny moments. And maybe 1/3 episodes are actually funny, but the episodes that aren't funny or barely are a drag to watch, it's even more entertaining watching a wall that watching those episodes.

I hate cartoons. But thanks to the Swedish channel, Kanal 5 mistakingly regarding this as a cartoon for kids, I became devout Oggy-lover. Its brilliant and funny, and you never know what will happen, which is an enormous plus, predictability being the mortal enemy of any film. The stories have at least two or three twists and the tags that make you giggle even if your world is falling to pieces. Here you can watch a cartoon-cat reading while doing number one (and two too, I suppose), three annoying cockroaches with different personalities making his life hell, as well as that of his friend Jack, the breezy green macho-cat, who's into gadgets and motors of all sorts. It's also subtle and verges sometimes on a dream-like state more akin to the surreal. My personal favourite is the story when the cockroaches redneck cousin come for a visit, bringing a strange, reeking cheese, that..no I won't tell. Watch it if you can. You'll be a happier person.
Absolutely brilliant cartoons. I wish there were more.

Anyone who does not like this show must have the sense of humour of a cockroach. These cartoons are brilliant. Thanks to three positively satanic cockroaches, life is anything but simple for Oggy and his red-neck cousin Jack. In a house with endless rooms, corridors and staircases which go on and on, chaos abounds in full speed chase scenes as Oggy rushes after the cockroaches. Skates are trod on and Oggy falls down hundreds of stairs, bazooka missiles are fired, huge weights are dropped and dynamite explodes. Plots have Oggy changed into a cockroach, sent into the internet, a new Ice Age occurs when a fridge door is left open and ends when it is casually shut again, a super-bouncy material ends up bouncing their house to the Moon, a new insecticide instead of killing cockroaches makes endless copies of them, and so on. The show is packed with a helter-skelter of gags around these five likable characters who, like Tom and Jerry, are given real depth. Five volumes, each containing twelve episodes each came out on DVD in 2003 (in English).

Oggy & the Cockroaches is awesome. It does what so few other cartoons dared to do since the 50s - to not have any speech at all, only sound effects and music. Where other cartoons take their audience for total morons, Oggy just keeps it stupid at all times - yet keeps YOU thinking. It assumes you know a wide span of general every-day subjects, and some degree of science - just so that you can know how audaciously the laws of said things are constantly broken. There in lies the charm and humor of this show!
This being said, this is a show with sometimes subtle, yet highly adult humor. (SPOILER): There is one episode where Oggy finds an ancient golden lever on his veggie plot. He pulls the lever and up grows a tall mountain with a cave at its summit. In the cave lives a yeti with his very own discotech complete with mirror ball - and he invites Oggy to party with him, subsequently giving Oggy a strip tease show on the dance floor. (END OF SPOILER) The show is made up of 3 short stories per episode. It works according to the tried and true "Tom & Jerry" concept. Oggy lives in the house, and the 3 cockroaches do their best to mooch off his food, cause trouble, and just to make his life a living hell. As if this wasn't enough, Oggy's "buddy" Jack (another cat) also comes and goes out of his house as if he owns the place. Oggy's neighbor is a huge bulldog also with very little regard for Oggy's happiness.

Oggy and the Cockroaches is one of the best cartoons I have ever watched.
The only episode I even hate is The Ghost Hunter. Besides, when I encountered this on Boing (Spain), I was happy. Especially when they air episodes 52 and 51, 52 being A Bird of ill Omen, and 51 being Oggy and the Magic Flute.
Best dubbing.

Yes, it is not a dubbed cartoon. But it "is" dubbed in india in Hindi Language, so if you can understand hindi than you should watch it in hindi, you won't stop laughing. It is not that much good in English, because there are no dialogues in English (Original) version. Salute the Indian Dubbers who dub this cartoon.

This series is the worst ever cartoon series I have seen. In India on Cartoon Network, this show comes for almost 6 hours a day during prime viewing time for kids. But the language they are using is so bad, totally unclassified TAPORI language. These series are for kids, we want our kids to see those cartoons where they can see something good. These kids are so small that they get influenced with things they watch continuously. What this series shows is totally non sense. I can digest that non sense stuff as well but the language they are using is so bad that, I am sure that no parent out here in India would like their kids to hear that. Just imagine your son talks to you like that HEY MAMU, iski to watt lageli hai kind of things. We send them to top class schools so that they can improve on their language and moral skills but whatever they see in this series is really some rubbish stuff. Request you guys to change the quality of language being used in India to show this series.

In my opinion, everything on Oggy was great: the characters, the animation, the music, etc. And of course the story. I will try to explain the plot as good as possible, without actually spoiling the entire series for those who haven't seen it.
Oggy gets annoyed by 3 roaches and will stop at nothing to ruin his day. There are other characters in the series like Jack (a family member), Bob the bulldog, Monica (Oggy's sister), Pink-nose cop and a penguin.
Over all, Oggy and The Cockroaches is a great series, many have compared to Shuffle!, which will keep you entertained. This show might not be for everybody, because it is after all a classic tribute, but a great one. So if you like this type of show, you should definitely check Oggy out.

I just can't get enough of these fellows. This is - by far - the best cartoon produced in modern time.
Great speed, great timing and great sound effects.

This show has two cats (Oggy and Jack) and three evil cockroaches (in order of most to least evil: Joey, Marky and Deedee) having conflict every single day.
And I love it.
This show is a master at slapstick comedy: bazookas fired, buildings falling down, numerous explosions, even the smallest things can turn into deadly weapons in an instant.
This show is more than just a cartoon; it's an experience. It's a world of endless possibilities, where anything can happen, and no one is safe from the clutches of chaos.
Of course, I have some complaints: yes, the humor can be adult, and toilet gags are present (not a lot, but sometimes, just like another great cartoon, "The Ren & Stimpy Show") but it's used better than most cartoons nowadays. (looking at YOU, BREADWINNERS!)
Anyway, watch it. It's available on YouTube and on numerous other sites. Saw it on many channels in Europe, so I'm glad many others appreciate it too.

I can't really explain the awesomeness of this show into words, all I can say is Oggy and The Cockroaches is one of the greatest cartoons from the 90s. Why would Nick get rid of it after one incident? I have no idea. All I can say is that the show was clever and funny and it was really entertaining. Sure, it did show some elements unsuitable for children, but hey, it seems like every show did that back in the day. Xilam went on to create what again? Shuriken School? Yeah...Definately didn't live up to this masterpiece.

Everyone says it's a copy of Tom and Jerry but it's not . It has better comedy and in Tom and Jerry , Jerry wins every time . ( Apart from detective episodes)So Tom and Jerry gets boring as we all know , even if Tom uses a plan , he will lose . But it's different when it comes to Oggy and the cockroaches . I think it's a great work.

I really enjoy it since i was a little kid back then. And Oggy Jack & Bob are really cool. It's way better than Oggy Oggy & The New Adventures of Oggy.
