a visit with surprises
valix22 December 2003
This is the story of a visit. A very unusual visit. A man, a woman and her son. The son is the centerpiece of the story. He is the spice and suger, he pours jam in the man's shoes and shows every aspect of bad manners and bad parenting that ever could be. Another masterpiece of Caragiale.

All remains seductive in the case of this adaptation. The performances - Sorin Stratilat in the role of child is really great- , the use of text by Jean Georgescu, exploring each nuance, the atmosphere and the art of Grigore Vasiliu - Birlic to give to a simple character the right traits of the guest in embarrassing situations. Cinematography is beautiful, the social message - precise and the solutions for explore the short text of I.L. Caragiale admirable in profound sense.
