Despite becoming one of the busier gents in TV, Patrick J. Adams would make time for a visit to Suits: L.A., NBC’s upcoming offshoot of the nine-season USA Network franchise.
The original Suits, which premiered in June 2011, revolved in large part around the fact that Adams’ Mike Ross, an associate for corporate lawyer Harvey Specter (played by Gabriel Macht), in fact had never attended law school.

A legal brawl is underway over the Road House remake, with MGM Studios bringing counterclaims against the original film’s screenwriter over the rights to the 1986 screenplay that spawned the movie.
In a countersuit filed on Friday in California federal court, the studio and its parent, Amazon, accuse Hill of fraud for lying to the U.S. Copyright Office that he’s the true author of the screenplay and can take advantage of a provision in copyright law that allows him and other similarly-situated writers to reclaim the rights to past works.
Marc Toberoff, a lawyer for Hill, said in a statement that the fraud claim is “baseless deflection.” He added that he “informed the Copyright Office that this matter is in dispute and would be the subject of litigation.”

Heading into the 81st Golden Globe Awards, legendary performer Harrison Ford is eligible for two different small screen prizes – Best TV Drama Actor and Best TV Supporting Actor – thanks to his respective turns on the inaugural seasons of “1923” and “Shrinking.” These possible dual bids would come 22 years after he was named the 48th recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille career achievement award and make him a proper Golden Globe competitor for the first time since 1996. Given the fact that 33 other DeMille awardees will have preceded him in subsequently landing regular nominations, it only makes sense to analyze those instances to determine just how great his chances of victory at the 2024 ceremony really are.
Until “1923” premiered on Paramount Plus last December, the 81-year-old Ford had never appeared in a regular capacity on a TV program of any kind. Within six weeks, however, he was officially a multi-series star showcasing...

San Francisco, Sep 8 (Ians) Cybersecurity researchers have discovered a new malware campaign that targets Mac users through malicious ads for Google searches, tricking them into installing the “Atomic Stealer (Amos)” malware, a new report has said.
According to the cybersecurity company Malwarebytes, Amos is being delivered to unsuspecting searchers via a Google ad scheme.
“Amos was first advertised in April 2023 as a stealer for Mac Os with a strong focus on crypto assets, capable of harvesting passwords from browsers and Apple’s keychain, as well as featuring a file grabber. The developer has been actively working on the project, releasing a new version at the end of June,” the researchers said.
Criminals who purchase the toolkit distribute the malware primarily through cracked software downloads, but they also impersonate legitimate websites and use ads on search engines such as Google to lure victims in.

One thing Theater Camp could never be accused of is not knowing its audience.
Hatched by co-directors Molly Gordon and Nick Lieberman and their fellow screenwriters Noah Galvin and Ben Platt out of a string of sketches, an unreleased web series and an improvised short, this larkish comedy is laser-targeted for a highly specific niche. Musical theater geeks, aspiring performers and eccentric drama educators will find countless sweet-spot insider jokes in a film that conveys the love of its creative team for the milieu at every turn. For the uninitiated, its charms are more likely to register in fits and starts.
The project takes as its model the Christopher Guest improv comedy, which is both a blessing and a curse since the under-baked mockumentary frame is rickety and seems to be forgotten for large chunks at a time. Another drawback is the considerable overlap with two sharper, more disciplined films,...
