Sex & Nudity

  • Several recruits are shown naked as they are being processed into the army. A couple of men's butts are shown. Their genitals are covered by their hands.
  • We see Sheila's breasts in two scenes. She and Claude are swimming.
  • Several men are shown naked from behind, and while he is jumping naked into the water, a man's penis is fleetingly visible.

  • This movie was released before the PG-13 category existed; today PG-13 would be appropriate.
  • The 'N-word' is used in a couple of songs.
  • Not only are several swear words spoken throughout the movie, but one song is dedicated to sex acts, described by name. Another song mentions the word "ass" several times.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A song is called "Hashish" and various drugs are being mentioned in it.
  • Sheila smokes cigarettes, as do Fenton and others.
  • There are numerous scenes showing a group of people smoking marijuana joints. One scene shows people taking LSD on a sugar cube. There are also several scenes with alcohol in them.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The ending of the movie (the last 20 minutes or so) get a bit intense, especially the final scene. While not frightening, it is definitely intense and could raise questions that are difficult to answer.
