  • The film is more of a docudrama than a horror film but non the less it could still be viewed as scary.
  • One of the campfire stories told includes the dramatization of the 1924 Ape Canyon incident in which miners are attacked while sleeping in their cabin near Mount St. Helens in Washington state. The "apemen" are shown throwing boulders from the top of the canyon down onto the cabin.
