To help Arnold Schwarzenegger get the role, his agent said he had years of "stage" experience, implying theater. But in fact, Schwarzenegger had only appeared on bodybuilding stages.
This was an independently produced and financed film. In the mid 2010"s the copyright for this film ran out. The ownership rights and the film negative then appeared on Ebay with the starting bid set at US $250,000. It is not known what the winning bid was but it was a unique chance for a member of the public to have an opportunity to own the rights to a B movie starring a very young and then unknown actor who would become one of Hollywood's biggest stars many years later.
Due to his impenetrable accent, Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice was dubbed for the theatrical release. The DVD and Blu-ray releases are featuring the unaltered audio track with Schwarzenegger's real voice.
Playing the film's title character, Schwarzenegger, because of his long last name and to play off the name of fellow cast member comedian Arnold Stang, is credited as "Arnold Strong 'Mr. Universe'".
