- In typical Dracula fashion, the scenes where Dracula drinks the blood of his female victims are meant to look sensual.
Violence & Gore

- It is implied that 3 female vampires drink the blood of a baby. This is not shown but the baby's cries are heard.
- Dracula drinks a woman's blood. This is not shown in detail, but blood is shown briefly dripping from Dracula's mouth.
- A man commits suicide by leaping out a high window. His body lands on a karge rock. Some blood shown.
- Van Helsing pounds a wooden spike into a sleeping vampire's chest and then ecnourages another man to "use his spade." The man reluctantly agrees and cuts the vampire's throat with his spade. Blood shown on the vampire's mouth and throat.
- Renfield, under Dracula's influence, tries to strangle a woman. She screams and gasps for breath.
- Dracula's vampire wives are staked to death while asleep. This is the most intense scene within the film. Though the spikes are not shown impaling the bodies, the impact is heard and they scream and moan as such things happen. A protagonist is squirted in the face by the blood of the vampire he is staking.
- Several men are crushed by boulders flung down upon them by the protagonists.

- Renfield's backstory is sad.
- The implied infanticide may disturb certain viewers.
- The scenes of Dracula draining a woman of her blood with her growing weaker and weaker each time can be disturbing to watch.
- In a scene, various taxidermy animals come alive and attack the protagonists.
- The same kind of level of violence and horror as Christopher Lee's other Dracula films for Hammer, only less gruesome and more psychologically disturbing.
- Despite its horror and violence, it is pretty tame by today's standards and should maintain a PG rating.

- Dracula is killed when his coffin is opened in the daylight and a burning torch is thrown on him. He burns the death and ages rapidly into a rotting corpse. then his coffin is thrown off a high structure.
