Despite the voice over

Maria de la Paz (Blanca de Castejón), married woman, and faithful too, meets Roberto (Pedro Infante) on a ship while traveling from Havana to Veracruz. She is beautiful and Roberto falls in love at first sight (like in ANGEL). He tries to know more about her, she rejects him every time reminding him her marital status and pointing that she has a husband and a daughter waiting for her in México. Fate is as whimsical as the writer's handwriting, Catalina D'Erzell, who makes them cross paths again, when Roberto arrives to her house and claims he is a dear friend of her husband. Blanquita (Maria Elena Marques), her daughter, is not home so they offer him a room to stay for a few days, but being so close and with that strong feeling things are not easy... Besides, Roberto and Maria go often out and people start talking... We can see here a young Ricardo Montalban (playing a waiter), Mimi Derba, Andres Soler, Carolina Barret, ... °The cover on this DVD is wrong, Pedro in the movie is a very cute city guy, and has a voice over, except when he sings, of course. Could be Ernesto Alonso's but I am not sure. The excuse is that they wanted to give him some foreign accent, like he was coming from Spain or something... who knows?
