Sex & Nudity

  • Ollie is blackmailed by an old girlfriend, threatening to reveal a photograph of her sitting on his shoulders. Nothing explicit is revealed, but the woman is vehement in her demands, threatening to expose their "past", which implies she and Ollie were quite an item at some point.
  • The woman calls Ollie's home, demanding to see him. The butler overhears Ollie's conversation and thinks he's going off to a clandestine meeting with another woman.
  • An older woman, who appears to be a local gossip, thinks Stan is fooling around on the sly. She calls him a "little monkey" and threatens to tell his wife.

Violence & Gore

  • Stan's wife is quite an aggressive woman. She informs Ollie that if her husband isn't home for dinner, she'll break his arm.
  • Later, when Stan doesn't show, the wife picks up a hatchet and tells her friend to call an ambulance before going out the door.
  • Becoming fed up with the blackmailer, Ollie takes out a handgun. When it misfires (nobody is shot), the woman faints. Stan and Ollie panic about what to do next.
  • The boys are chased away by Stan's crazed, hatchet-wielding wife.
  • Stan and Mae back their car into the gossip's, destroying it. They also hit a lampost, causing the light to fall on Stan's head.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Stan asks if he can smoke. He does it briefly, before giving up.
