HEaRD (2021)

It gives a voice to the voiceless in the most profound way!

This short film immerses you into a whole new space for 9 minutes, where it feels like it's just you and the events that are unfolding before you. The care and passion that have been put into depicting every detail in the most authentic and hard-hitting way is phenomenal. Every single second has a purpose. As much as you might want to avoid the topic being portrayed, you cannot look away from the pure brilliance on the screen. There is a raw honesty that evokes so many emotions as you are pulled in to witness a story that often goes untold and unheard. When the credits begin, you find yourself unable to forget a single second of what you witnessed, and it's something that truly sticks with you. It leaves you wanting to have those conversations with people, to sit through the discomfort and sit in the pain. It makes you want to hear other people's stories, and I think that speaks volumes about the power this film has.

Had I not known before, I never would have guessed that this was a directional debut from Danielle Savre and I am very much looking forward to seeing what other masterpieces she creates behind the camera in the future. Congratulations!
