This actually never happened, yet they pretend it is a true story. However there isn't one bit of truth to it. Oh wait, there was a bank that was robbed in Smithville in the 70's. The kids who did it were captured in record time and did time for the robbery. Why didn't they just make a movie about that? Probably because they would have to pay those involved? Sounds about right to me. God forbid you actually give credit and money to a bunch of bank robbers!
