Pawsome Pup Power
11 February 2024
The adorable spotted pups return for another escapade, and this time, it's all about Patch-the loneliest of the pack. Here's a review of this animated gem:

The film picks up after the events of the original 1961 classic. The Radcliffe family, along with their 101 Dalmatians, is moving to their countryside home-the "Dalmatian Plantation." Patch, feeling lost among the sea of spots, dreams of being unique like his TV hero, Thunderbolt. When Patch gets accidentally left behind during the move, he seizes the chance to meet Thunderbolt and win a guest spot on his show.

The film delves into themes of loneliness and the desire to stand out. Patch's journey mirrors the struggles of anyone who feels lost in a crowd. Thunderbolt's own insecurities add depth to the story.

While not groundbreaking, the animation maintains the charm of the original. London serves as a picturesque backdrop, capturing the city's iconic landmarks.

Children will enjoy the playful antics of the Dalmatian pups. Parents will appreciate the nostalgia and the film's positive messages. Even childless adults with fond memories of the 1961 cartoon may find themselves smiling.
