A Long Way Home (2003 TV Movie)

The acting was great as always but Hollywood is terrifying

Warning: Spoilers
The characters were likeable, the acting was fantastic as always. My lack of stars is not against the actors. But this story line, this Hollywood delusion that raping a child deserves any sort of second chance, is just insane. And it's a sign of the times that was in Hollywood. It's exactly in line with what so many child actors and so many adult actresses are saying, Hollywood sees nothing wrong with molesting people. So much so that they actually made a movie implying that a daughter and mother should give a father and husband a second chance because he made a mistake. No not showing up at your kids play because you out work first is a mistake. Forgetting to pick up a present for a birthday is a mistake. Raping your own child is a sick crime, not a mistake. It deserves no second chances, it deserves no fair discussions, it deserves no forgiveness. What it does deserves is permanent separation and never speaking to that person again. What kind of insane person would write a script and think living together and trying to reconcile would even be a possibility. Putting a child at risk again. Making a child a second class citizen with no rights to protection. And at the end the mom says "I was jealous and selfish". She was jealous that her husband raped her daughter. Is she insane????? Who wrote this because their mentality is terrifying. I'm writing no spoilers because no one should watch this sick movie. Had they kicked him out and fought it out in court, I would have recommended this movie. It's a topic that we need to discuss.
