Felt like the same old Dave Chappelle, how he opened with a long winded insightful words just to land a trans joke. Talking about how he won't make fun of them, I was kinda cautious because i think he kinda did the similar same thing with his special in 21. But he pivots. He was still the same old politically incorrect unfiltered Dave Chappelle. Pretty formulaic. Something that came to mind was some people, well mostly critics, other than his dark comedy, criticize Anthony Jeselnik for his specials after Caligula because he sounds like a broken record and doesn't try anything new. Mmm well, that's kinda what this special was too. One thing I'll say is he looked like he was really having fun. The story at the end wasn't all that inspiring. A lot of lectures, very didactic but it got a few pretty good laughs from me. A few. Not one of his more memorable or controversial specials but I still enjoyed it okay.
