I'm a sucker for any kind of sci-fi with a female lead but this dreck is plagued by horrid casting, amateurish writing, and once that happens, nothing can save what follows. I admit, I could only get through one and a half episodes but that was more than enough. All the weird looking people acting strangely was enough to convince me of the above and seek out the original Canadian series which is starkly different in all regards and unlike this mush, is actually really engaging.
The one off the charts bits of terrible writing has the hero, Ritter, kidnapping her probable teenage clone and constantly accusing her of being "in on it," while "it" has yet to be established and how even is an obviously clueless teenage phone addict "in" on anything other than tiktok controversy?
I will be shocked if this sees a 2nd season.
