Review of Twins

Twins (1988)
7/10
The old days of comedy - entertaining and funny

What a premise! Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito are "Twins" in this 1988 comedy also starring Kelly Preston, Bonnie Bartlett, Maury Chaykin, Hugh O'Brian, and Nehemiah Persoff.

These twins were part of an experiment which was considered a failure, when one twin received all of the good genes and the other twin, the bad ones.

The boys are raised in different environments. When Julius (Arnold) learns he has a twin, he comes to Los Angeles to seek him out. His twin (Danny) however, is a lowlife.

Julius is brilliant, but knows nothing of the world. Vincent knows too much and is always in trouble. They make for a very odd couple, with some amusing incidents.

In one scene, Vincent jumps out the window of a married woman, and does a gym dismount on the ground. Very funny.

Julius does not know his own strength, and is constantly pummeling people without realizing what he is doing. He also knows nothing about the opposite sex.

Cute movie, and Danny Devito can always make me laugh. Arnold did the naïve strongman very well.

Enjoyable.
