This is a 90's dark comedy. You can say it's a typical one but if you'd like to be more precise, this is not too "dark", it plays more like a comedy. There war far darker comedies in this decade. This is funny all the way, in fact, it gets funnier and funnier as it's progressing. Also absurd in the end, for sure over the top as another reviewer mentioned. I didn't mind it, i was entertained and i enjoyed it. Keitel is almost hilarious. And Diaz shows some acting skills, proving at this point she is not just a beautiful face. It's not a MUST WATCH movie, i could live without ever watching it but i didn't regret it, i would say it's slightly better than i expected.
So, if you are a 90's movies fan, you should probably watch it, too.
