376 journalists talking about themselves. Terrabytes of data. Nothing.

Warning: Spoilers
This was incredibly disappointing to watch. We have a John Doe whistle blower who offered his leak to a bunch of investigative companies and a lot of them declined. No mention of their names.

He finally gets a guy and sends him 1.7 Terrabytes of data which is just too many, and soon several more people are needed, months later with more data 100's of journalists are on board. Before publication they mention 376 journalists worldwide were investigating.

And that's the movie. All these people digging for details, sometimes throwing us a little bone here and there, but nothing really concrete. Celebrities, banks and politicians are linked but nothing happens. Not even one arrest. A few people resigned. Big deal.

Imagine spending all these 1000's of man hours investigating corruption and wrong doing and not having anything stick. Huge fail. It ends up causing the audience endless frustration.

If you do a bit of digging, a whopping 13 politicians/bankers have resigned or been fired. A few journalists have been killed. The central Law agency in Panama building the network is not held accountable in any way.

Why make a movie basically patting every journalist on the back with such poor results? This is equivalent to showcasing a sports team as the start of a dynasty when they have a losing season and miss the playoffs.

Somehow my review doesn't post.
