(1951) My Forbidden Past
PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA
Adapted from a novel "Carriage Entrance" by Polan Banks that has wealthy socialite Barbara Beaurevel (Ava Gardner) meeting an old doctrine flame, Mark Lucas (Robert Mitchum) and she attempts to wreck his life after finding out he has already been married to Corinne (Janis Carter). Motivating Barbara to involve her cousin, Paul (Melvyn Douglas) into her scheming affairs.
Reminiscent of the Victorian era soap opera movie ever made, which at times it does not even know what it wants. And it's not like going to motivate me to read the novel that is based on either.
