THRILLER/ CRIME DRAMA
(May contain spoils) There's a lot of Hong Kong veteran actors starring in this film which doesn't exactly add up to very much. The story goes that actor Tony Leung Chi Wai plays small time hoodlum and his long time friend has some huge debts to pay to some triads(general name for Chinese gangs) with attempts to rob a loaning bank but just when he decides to give himself up, one of Hong Kong's most wanted veteran Hong Kong actor Ti Lung puts a stop to it by taking over the bank himself and then detaining the two rookie robbers to a locked gate where the money is being kept, he then builds a rapport with it's so-called hostages by acting like a considerate, caring man demanding to see his girlfriend who she doesn't even care about him, and then goes to suicide-by-cop mode. All I can say is that I hate movies which portray the protagonist as a not so bad person only to kill him off at the end.
