It was interesting. It'd make a good double bill with "A League of Ordinary Gentlemen", a documentary about three Internet millionaires who try to revive pro bowling. That was a little better than this. While there is also an ambitious millionaire in "Fastpitch", he's not the story. Most of the story focuses on Shane Hunuhunu, a New Zealander who is the closest thing softball has to Babe Ruth. He was an interesting guy, but focusing on him limited the scope of the picture. The bowling documentary was about reviving an entire sport. "Fastpitch" is more like a personal travel diary. Still, it was an interesting look at a heartland sport which is on the wane.
