This is not a film, but rather this is a leap of faith among all who worked on this project to render a quiet musing on the artist Antonio Gaudi. What we here is not an entertaining talking heads documentary on the life and times of the Catalan artist, rather we are gifted a poem lasting nearly 80 minutes. Poetry excavates not only that which is numinous and illuminates every crack in a surface, but it also excavates all the longing and all the loss that life can throw at us. Cinema is easy, but poetry is only possible for the select few. Try to watch this documentary on the biggest projector you possibly can. You won't regret it.
