Our leads make a great team in this movie, the interactions are endearing, there is no shortage of depth. The acting overall is good, and the directing is obviously good, something that can't be faked - you either "do or do not" with the x-factor, there is no "try" and it comes mainly from direction, and sometimes from a special actor. The female lead reals you into her heartwarming personality, your heart goes out to her, and simultaneously is magnetized, and the male lead in his own right is convincing as a man who lights up when she is around. Neither of them realizes how much they really love each other, they've been friends since school, they've perfected a life long friend zone existence, now it's effortless. That's a very long time to be best friends, and not the usual sort, these two seem to be of similar personalities, easy going, kind, gentle, not assertive types. It's understandable how they could be frozen in time.
The rest of the characters are secondary, I could take or leave the heavenly messengers aspect of the story, and while it's essential to the plot, it's not essential to the point. I feel that if you watch enough of these sorts of films, maybe you'll build up just enough courage to go find your soulmate. A guy can hope.
Final note: her singing is clear and pure, but just a bit odd sounding, like she's singing for Sesame Street or the Muppets.
