What a Car?
15 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
George gets a used car. The salesman tells him it was once owned by Jon Voight. He dumped the nice car he had researched and bought this one. We all know it isn't going to work out. But George is insufferable about the car. To prove the truth of the former owner, he goes on a campaign to prove it. Jon Voight actually shows up and bits George's arm in self defense from his overly aggressive posture. The other hilarious thing has to do with Elaine winning a contest so her boss can hold a rope in the Macy's parade. It is a balloon of Woody Woodpecker (which is funny enough), but things transpire to ruin the moment for the old guy. Kramer has another affliction. He has nosebleeds. This leads to a mess-up when a mom and pop shoe repair shop may go out of business from lack of clientele. Kramer brings all of Jerry's sneakers to be cleaned and when Jerry goes to pick them up, Mom and Pop have left. One of the highlights for me was a reprise of the final scene from Midnight Cowboy as Jerry and Kramer become Joe Buck and Ratzo Rizzo. Great bit.
