Review of Incarnation

Incarnation (2022)
6/10
OK paranormal horror thriller
3 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie may have been made with the $50K we saw in one scene and for a low budget, it did the job. But as I watch it, I cannot help but think of the thousand ways a scene could have been improved. For the type of trauma the characters have endured, and what they are about to face, the acting is very muted. Sadly, I think the fault a lot of times lies in the screenplay, which in this case introduces multiple dead-end storylines instead of deepening the main ones. I think this would've worked much better if it had been written into a horror comedy. The home shots are brilliant, just tired due to continued use of the same throughout the movie. If I had been in their situation, I would have lost my mind. Maybe they did.

Taye Diggs, next time find me and we'll make a great movie.
