Warning: Spoilers
A robot/cyborg/thingy called 'Digital Man' goes rogue with a bunch of launch codes in a desert town and special team is sent to bring it down. Cue lots of walking around in the hot sun and the excessive use of big firing guns. Firing is the appropriate word as flames keep spurting laughably out of massive barrels lugged about clumsily by the main cast. The cast of soldiers are a boring lot but the film is livened up by Ed Lauter as the villainous general and mighty Matthias Hues as the titular Digital Man. In small but vivid roles are Clint Howard and Susan Tyrrell who should have had more screen time. The cinematography by Harris Done was done well but the music score was forgettable.

Part of the story is that the special team is a mix of humans and cyborgs but they don't who is or who isn't which seemed an unnecessary element if not rather ridiculous. The ending where General Roberts is shot by Mildred Hodges was rather comical though, in a good way. Otherwise the film was dull.
