'Faster' is a vengeance movie with plenty of action, and substance. Yeah, this is not just another mindless action movie. I'm not sure why the film is called 'Faster', though? Faster than what? (The alternate title is 'Driver', which makes more sense.)
The film is fast-paced. They sure don't waste any time. With the film also only running 98 minutes long, they made sure every minute on screen counts. Dwayne Johnson is the tough guy once again. This time he is out to avenge those who done him wrong, resulting in him being imprisoned. He is on a mission and he is determined - just like the movie. (Maybe this is where the 'faster' comes in...).
Being a Dwayne Johnson movie there's loads of action. The action sequences are standard run of the mill action scenes and nothing spectacular or memorable, but it is good fun and entertaining. The photography is very good.
'Faster' also deals with underlying themes like trust and loyalty. There are a few surprises along the way as well, and a twist ending. In general 'Faster' is a good and satisfying watch.
