Basically the show was an excuse for her stand up. The TV segments within the show are funny. The rest of the show, from good to truly awful.
The show's plots were typical sitcom idiocy, either too bland or irritating to work well for Sykes. On top of that, many shows were centered around guys she was dating. But Sykes being gay was as obvious as it was for Ellen, and hiding that hurt the show.
