As a person who received a lot of blood. My High School class in the 80's watched this movie. I sat there knowing I had a high change of being HIV positive, as I also have a severe blood disorder and received a lot of blood during this time. I was treated by medical personnel in the hospital, like I had AIDS. They were so afraid of this new and unknown virus. The Cure, and the Ryan White story are also fantastic movies. Go Toward the Light does a great job of explaining death to a child. And for families with Hemophilia and other blood disorders like Vonwillebrand's. The future generations should really have access to movies like this, and know what my generation went through. As I have lost friends to dirty blood. I really hope this movie can become available to purchase soon. As I will be first in line to buy it. For the spiritual individuals, this movie has a great glove example of what death is to this family, how they look at it. I won't spoil it, but it is comforting. I have watched friends die, even recently, from dirty blood and HIV/Hemophilia. From suicide, and HIV causing a brain disease. So it is still killing our community.
