More reflective character drama
15 December 2021
Maggie, Sasha and Bob have different ideas on sticking together or going it alone.

This is another reflective character episode that, similarly to the episode 'After', shows characters considering parting ways.

It is quite well structured in that it bounces back and forth between two groups: one that is potentially fragmenting, whereas the other appears to be well bonded. It ends quite ironically as some individuals are forcibly parted, whereas others almost do it willingly. Hope and despair are strong themes as characters debate the abandonment of searching for loved ones in favour of self survival.

Everything seems to be slowing building towards a potential meeting at the place of 'sanctuary', but at this point I do not know what is going to happen. It's difficult to say if this just stretching out the drama (and series to 16 episodes) or there will be a climax to series 4 that is worth all the build up.

All performances for me are good and (as ever) the production values are superb.
