Darkwing Duck (1991–1992)
10/10
A popculture Hit and one of the best Heroes ever
19 November 2021
Darkwing Duck is one of the best TV series of all time and here you don't just have to pay attention to other animated series. This Disney series combines the classic talent of Disney's fairytale storytelling with a wit and charm of 90s pop culture. References to Batman and his Rogue's Gallery are of course clear, but Darkwing Duck is not only about topics, but also anticipating topics, for example in the sense of later sitcoms of the 90s. Modern family life, a rebellious youth, the fact that you can learn at any age, including the older from the younger, is fantastically worked out here. The drawings are simply great and extensive and very detailed for a cartoon. The stories sprout with charm, laughing-fit humor and tension that overtake many a real series. In addition, you get contingency and continuity in storytelling and next to the villains of Batman and Spider-Man one of the best villain galleries of all pop culture universes. The supporting characters are original and hearty built into the plot and character dynamics of the series. Sit down and enjoy this series, the great Morgana episodes, the very developed story arcs about Negaduck, Megavolt and Bushroot. Enjoy the hero Darkwing Duck and his team as they bring you one of the best pop culture experiences ever.
