This is excellent! Patty Duke gives a wonderful performance as well as the supporting cast. You will laugh, you will want to cry and you will love Patty Duke as Natalie.
It is hard to picture Duke as "unattractive, but we now know, the only thing that makes someone ugly is a terrible personality. You will fall in love with Natalie and can probably relate to her and some of her experiences.
If this movie has a message it is no one is perfect, nor do they gave a perfect life. Once Natalie finds love, She realizes she can be happy with herself, and doesn't need someone else for validation, nor will she accept happiness at my someone else's expense.
