A favorite from my college days. Jessica Lange is phenomenal. This was also my introduction to Joan Cusack, whom I have loved ever since. One part of this movie that isn't often mentioned is the soundtrack - its hauntingly beautiful. I searched for the soundtrack for decades, only to learn it was never published. Luckily I managed to find a demo. I think someone also put it up on YouTube. Watch this if you get an opportunity.
