This episode resolves the Curtis Ames and Meg storylines in - what I can only think - is the most appropriate way to the characters.

Ames, a man who feels like he lost everything, a man who cannot let what happened to him go, finally confronts Kovac in a painful, heartbreaking manner. It rings true to both Ames and Kovac's character in how each responds to the other. It's neat allegory and amuses me to have annoyed a number of reviewers with its tone.

The Meg storyline ends as that line could only have ended - again, true to both character and situation.

Pratt's storyline sees him bailed out of jail by the Pastor of the church Pratt volunteered at. I think giving Greg a chance to see what he's been trying to avoid all along, something he had been proud of.

I cannot fault the writers or director for the tone and direction of the episode, nor for the inclusion of more characters of colour, female characters, and stories that reflect their lived experiences.
