All the actors do brilliantly but Oliver Reed gets the meatiest role as an insane scoundrel who is willing to go to any length to get his inheritance- he gets a bit hammy towards the end. But all in all it's a good chiller with oodles of atmosphere. It benefits greatly for being in black and white.
