The screenplay feels like a first draft of a first-year film school student who thinks run on sentences and rampant pop culture references are the stuff of legend.
The ending is abrupt and is such a dramatic 180° heel turn for both of the leads, that it almost feels it exists to preemptively invalidate criticism by having a finale that feels like it belongs in a Lifetime flick.
I wish it could be a fun ironic watch, but as it stands, it feels like a movie that truly was made for no one.
