Nontraditional Expository Filmmaking
14 February 2021
I gave ten stars. It is not a traditional movie; which would follow a traditional plot. It earns ten stars; because in its oeuvre as an expository film, it's great! The women are breathtakingly magnificent; as is the scenery. The repartee between the heroine and the thief is disarmingly witty. Most comedies don't really make me laugh; but these two characters' exchange of barbs, made me laugh out loud. The action is surprisingly professional; and it looks like the cast did their own stunts. Our incredibly beautiful heroine, seems to have a background in athletics. And in addition to her beauty, this film is meant to showcase her athleticism. I'm guessing she did something like an event called Steeple-Chase; because she races through the forest, easily tackling obstacles. Also entering this parade of eye-popping visuals, is the beautiful Stormi Maya. She was in the hit film Hustlers (2019), and She's Gotta Have It, the TV series. I'm guessing this film was made to showcase the talents of all involved; rather than to make a traditional film, with a full storyline. To me, this movie was a rousing success. Only bad things: the makeup for the heroine's close-ups. It looked like they shined her face with Armor All. And the thief's face, which stays dirty too long. It looked gross; and in reality, he'd probably wipe it off. Still gets ten stars.
