As usual, the Nazis are shown as complete bumbling idiots. The end is pitifully unrealistic. Specifically, when the explosion goes off, the ferry does not move an inch; that is, until all of the children (of course) aboard are helped into a lifeboat. A waste of screenwriter Ivan Moffatt's time. There must have been multiple rewrites (3 uncredited writers) of the screenplay. For Kirk Douglas fans only.
