Based on what little I've seen in full, this show just doesn't live up to the expectations of biting, hilarious, and untypically subtle for America political satire, which I had developed from watching some sparse, singular clips of the show. Shame the show is so difficult to find. And double shame that Colbert has degenerated to that incessant "orange man bad" style of comedy in his next venture, and turned into the exact hacky blowhard he was always supposed to be a parody of, just from the other side of the American party system. Perhaps, the recent victory of Biden will shake him up a bit?..
