I'm not sure what this was meant to be about aside from some old curse or evil spirit or some such in some board... but the way it cuts back and forth between the past and present, some overarching woo woo woman telling a bug eyes woman the story of all this (?!), and introduces what felt like random (generally nasty/unappealing) characters that make little/no impact on the actual story The whole thing feels like a poorly edited mess that makes no sense.
Perhaps the film makers could lay off the hallucinogenics before making their next movie...? Just a thought.
