Fafner (2004)
9/10
This is definitely a cool mecha anime

Warning: Spoilers
The story is as follows:

The youth of Tatsumiya Island believed that they had ordinary lives... until the advent of the Festum, extraterrestrial intelligent life forms intent on assimilating all humans. Abruptly, their once peaceful island transforms into a high-tech military fortress to counter-attack the hostile aliens. Their shock intensifies when they learn that only they can pilot the Fafner, a class of humanoid-type robots that represent the final and only weapon against the Festums and their divine powers.

While I can understand why some people don't like since it does some similarities to other mecha animes I have seen in the past. I personally enjoy it for it''s action and visuals as well as good music.

This is pretty good anime overall even the dub is good with Johnny Yong Bosch as Kazuki and Steve Staley as Shosie. With other noticeable voice actors like Stephanie Sheh, Julie Ann Taylor, Sam Riegel, Bob Papenbrock (RIP), Lex Lang, Michelle Ruff, Yuri Lowanthal and Erik Davies as Michio being the best out of the whole dub.

I just wish Netflix, Viz Media or Discork Media can just remove the anime rights from Funimation and continue dubbing the rest of the anime. Especially with next season coming. Even it maybe pointless of me saying but please dub the rest of the show Bang Zoom this dub was great.

Now that I have got that out of the way if you want to have a decent Mecha anime I recommend this.
