I felt mixed about this episode the first time I saw it. However, I really enjoyed it the second time 'round, especially having binged the whole series. I think I came to appreciate it more as a character development/character bonding episode than a meant-to-be-funny episode. All in all, it feels like a very succinct, purposeful episode with good writing and warm moments that aren't overly saccharine.
