I wanted to like this movie, but I just find that the over-all plot is just weak and it comes across as big poorly handled mess. People will like it because it's different and takes the bold move of unceremoniously killing off many flagship characters like nothing, but that concept alone doesn't do it for me.
This movie is full of gore and death, but it ultimately amounts to a pile of shock value with little substance beyond. Villain victories feel underdeveloped and therefore undeserved, the pacing is rushed, the enemy in this movie is generic and poorly thought out, solutions to conflict are just too weak to hold water, and so on.
