It doesn't quite feel like just continuing from season 4 although it's suppose to. Lexie is suddenly in love with George... It's not impossible that that could happen, it just seemed kinda hasty.
The vibe between the characters seems a little different. But I enjoy the main medical case, and that everyone is involved with it. It's a good case.
I think they made Rose a little too bitter and vengeful...and just...crazy! They went a little overboard there, it doesn't feel very realistic. A tiny thing that has annoyed me is that they make it out to be very clear that Rose is a scrub nurse in neuro. Derek tells her to find a different specialty. But when Addison was visiting, Rose was the scrub nurse in her OR, because they wanted to make that awkward scene where Addison talked about her without knowing who she was. It's not consistent, and I like it better when these things are kept right.
I love that Owen has joined in (almost). And I love how he and Cristina interacts. I also enjoy seeing how Derek and Mark join together to dislike Owen. It's fun!
