Review of Girl

Girl (II) (2018)
6/10
A film of human charm
9 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It is a film of human charm, expertly directed and compassionate. As lukas DE holt's impressive debut novel, it's nice to mix Dutch and French styles in a completely natural way. Undaunted by difficult subjects, he turned the lead actor, victor post, into an actor by acting and dancing. In the world of ballet, the human body is bent and remade by the force of will, providing fertile soil for this transformation process. The camera's description of Laura's body is reasonable, as it is her focus and her own battlefield.
