4/10

Warning: Spoilers
I see alot of 8/10 to 10/10 ratings and wonder why this movie gets such high grades. The acting of the Punjabi is average, the acting of the German and British is utter rubbish. If the budget is low, you need to compensate with good acting. The story is way too thin or the movie is too long, and is also a pretty standard story. The Germans are portrayed as sadists that get a kick out of killing. And to finish it...they fistbump when they shot a Punjabi soldier. Fistbumps were introduced in the 70's! The battlefield was only 1 field with trenches. Bodies (without visible damage) flew several meters up in the air after a mortar impact.

Maybe it's because I'm from Western Europe and cannot relate to Bollywood, or in this case Pollywood style movies. To me singing and dancing in the trenches in large groups while you have no medicine, food, water or ammo and await for the enemy to attack makes no sense.
