"Girls Just Want to Have Fun" is a film that came out a couple of years after "Footloose" and "Flashdance", two films that I think were better. Sarah Jessica Parker plays a new girl in Chicago whose only dream is to dance on a television show. Helen Hunt is the rebellious friend. This film doesn't offer very much and is fun but that's it.
