Charming, frivolous, but also a bit boring. A story about 2 old men yearning for a young gorgeous femme fatale...

2 men's midlife crisis, packaged in a frivolous French comedy, with terrific actors. but the story is lacking in drama, spark and punch.

The good: the actors. It's always a joy to see Gerard Depardieu perform in a new movie, but he has only got a smaller supporting role this time. Daniel Auteuil is the leading actor and he even directed this movie, in which he is constantly daydreaming about having a secret affair with a young gorgeous woman. The movie basically is nothing else but lovey dovey fantasies of an old man about a gorgeous young woman.

The bad: there is nothing else but these old man's fantasies about a young woman. These fantasies in particular are never shocking, nor intensely erotic, not even original. Therefore this story lacks punch and spark and I got a bit bored after an hour of these old man's lovey dovey fantasies.

This is still a nice French lighthearted comedy about adultery, but only because of the great actors. There are better French adultery comedies out there though, so I wont recommend this one. It's not bad, simply a bit tedious to watch after an hour, because there is no real drama, no real suspense, It's all lovey dovey nice-ish, but simultaneously also a bit boring...
