I've watched the first two episodes of this anthology series, and while many reviews weren't particularly positive, I think it's a nice combination of sweet and schmaltzy. The second episode is funny and touching, and with gay and trans characters, it's refreshing that Dolly's fanbase who might not otherwise be exposed to the full expanse of humanity is seeing something like this with her imprimatur. With Delta Burke and Kathleen Turner coming up in later episodes, I'll definitely keep watching. (I'm also thankful I got to see her in concert at least once, in August 2008 at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. It was as amazing as you would imagine.)
